Like Bozzetto's most famous two-dimensional shorts,
Krutt tells the improbable story of an even more
improbable character, halfway between a small animal and a
little monster, to whom everything happens in five minutes.
The team working on the film is made up of twenty
experts, including modelers, 2D and 3D artists, painters, animators,
lighting and rendering experts, led by the talented
Americans from Simple Pictures. The film is directed by Bruno Bozzetto and Filippo Costanzo, who previously directed the
3D animated commercials for Carta Camomilla's “Formiche” and Acqua Lete's
sodium particle, with professional experience
on blockbusters ranging from “Titanic” to
The Fifth Element to the more recent Matrix Revolutions.
Peter Greenstone is the Animation Director, who is also
already involved in the 3D animation for the commercials themselves. The
producers are one Italian and one American: on the one hand, Fabrizio
Funto', who has been leading projects in the field of
virtual reality and 3D applications for over ten years, and on the other,
Allen Yamashita, executive producer at Simple Pictures. The
overall project is coordinated for Cinecitta' Holding Spa
by Adriano Levatesi.
