Project description

The purpose of the test carried out in a Los Angeles studio was to verify that the triangulation algorithms, identification of moving volumes and their reconstruction in near real time, with a delay of less than half a second, worked using images from digital cameras.

A ring with a referee and real boxers was used, filmed by eight low cameras and eight high cameras, arranged in pairs on either side of the ring. The test was successful, demonstrating that it is possible to reconstruct scenes on a television set or at any other public event monitored by cameras positioned around the event.
